Augusta Video Gaming Expo 2026
The deets
Where: Augusta, GA
When: March
Table Cost: $60 (6x6 space with table and chairs)
Attendance: estimated 400-600, likely more
The venue
While we miss the other venue in Augusta, this space was just perfect for the size of this event. The organizer did a good job not cramming us all into the ballroom and making sure there was ample room to move about for both vendors and attendees.
The venue is still using the old wooden tables that we hate, so we brought our own table.
Parking is on-site and free with easy load-in access along the sidewalk. There aren’t many ramps, but given everything is on one floor we don’t think the accessibility is too bad.
The market
This was a mixed market with vendors spread out into a couple different spaces but all on one floor. There was signage so it wasn’t too hard for folks to find everyone which was good. We were in the main hallway right by the entrance, so we got a good sense of how busy it would be throughout the day. There was a line out the front doors, especially during VIP hour which ran from 11 am to noon. We were maybe 1 of 3 convention artists, while most other vendors were resellers or craftspeople.
The audience
Turnout was great for a 1-day event. The crowd felt like it leaned more towards millennials, though we did see a good number of families. Some folks moved very quickly through the event space, just doing their shopping then leaving within the first hour of entering. Others stayed longer and played pinball and arcade games.
The sales
We made 5.5x our table expense. We had a total of 16 sales with an average purchase of $21.81. Most of our sales were made between 1 pm and 2 pm, with our largest sales all being in that hour as well.
For this 1-day event our total time investment was 8 hours of active vending (11 am to 7 pm) and 2 hours of combined set-up and break-down time (total of 10 hours).
Items that sold the best were prints and stickers with the bulk of our revenue being from selling a few journals, a blanket, and a tote. Purchases were predominately made using card instead of cash.
